Dear Orrville Families and Community,
This past week, Orrville City Schools was honored to host Rachel’s Challenge, a powerful program that inspires students and communities to build a culture of kindness, compassion, and respect. Rachel’s story and her belief in the power of small acts of kindness to start a “chain reaction” deeply touched our students, staff, and families who attended the community meeting.
The message of Rachel’s Challenge reminds us that lasting change begins with simple daily choices:
Look for the best in others
Dream big
Choose positive influences
Speak with kindness
Start your own chain reaction
We encourage parents and guardians to continue the conversation at home. Ask your child what stood out to them from the assembly. Discuss ways to show kindness at school, online, and in your neighborhood. Celebrate small acts of compassion and make them a family goal.
The impact of Rachel’s Challenge grows when schools, homes, and the community work together to create an environment where every student feels seen, valued, and supported. Thank you for reinforcing these lessons and helping us continue this positive chain reaction throughout Orrville.

Thank you for your continued support!
